About Us - 2003-2008

In October 2003 the X1 was finally unveiled to an unsuspecting public. Sam Torrance (who had just captained Europe to Ryder Cup victory) signed up to promote the brand and an amazing amount of editorial coverage followed in national magazines and newspapers. Stewart Golf had arrived.

 

As initial sales numbers exceeded all expectations, a waiting list of up to 10 weeks quickly developed for the X1. The X1 Remote was by far the most popular, accounting for over 90% of sales. The X1 Manual made waves at the lower £699 price point but production ended in 2006 to allow the company to focus on remote products.

 

The unique character of the X1R took it a long way in short time. Very soon it was stocked in Harrods and sold all over Europe, then all over the world. Magazines tested the X1R and it received reviews time and time again.

 

In 2006 the X1 was replaced by the X3. The quest for perfection meant that a number of improvements were made to the product including an all new, almost unbreakable chassis design. In 2009 the X5 was released featuring more improvements including alloy wheels.

 

2009 Also saw the introducion of the ground breaking new F1 Lithium, the result of over 4 years development.
